Microsoft Stops Paying For Employees’ iPhones

Microsoft Stops Paying For Employees' iPhones“Microsoft’s cost-cutting measures drove it to lay off thousands of employees and led to some perks being discontinued for its remaining employees – including no longer paying for their Apple Phone data service plans anymore, even if they’re used significantly for work purposes.

Nor will it pay for Research In Motio BlackBerry service, or a new Palm Pre. Instead, it will only reimburse data plans for Microsoft Windows Mobile-powered smartphones.”

2G iPod Touch Redsnow Jailbreak is here, Works with iPhone 3G too

2G iPod TouchThe wait is finally over! The iPhone Dev Team has just released redsnow, a jailbreak and unlock (orig iPhone only) that works not only on the iPhone 3G and 1G iPod Touch, but more importantly, on the 2G iPod Touch as well. It works similar to QuickPwn so the whole process should be pretty easy. However, the current version doesn’t work on Mac OS X systems still running on PPC. Likewise, all the precautions mentioned in the iPhone 3.0 jailbreak should be taken, and this doesn’t work on the iPhone 3G S as well. Apart from that, there have also been quite a number of complaints and problems being reported in the comments section.

Needless to say, worry-warts out there will have to probably wait for a newer version to be released before trying this one out on their Apple device. Nonetheless, if you’re brave enough to give this new jailbreak a go, then by all means, download redsnow from their blog now and don’t forget to hit us up in the comments section below as we’d love to hear how it turns out for you.

Palm Pre already being mass-produced?

Palm Pre

The Palm Pre is already in mass production if a slip from a Chinese wholesaler proves true. Ludle International claims that the device is already in volume production and should be available in the near future. As evidence, the company has what appears to be an example unit and provides early impressions of the design: in addition to feeling smaller than an iPhone, the design’s screen is less scratch-proof but is compensated for by a tougher (though fingerprint-prone) back.

Actual software use isn’t mentioned, though the Pre’s CDMA networking wouldn’t function in China, where GSM is the predominant format. The Pre is increasingly seen as arriving in the US on May 17th and would need to already be in mid-production for enough quantities to satisfy Sprint’s online and retail stores.

Palm Pre goes on sale

Sprint today officially started sales of the Palm Pre, its first multi-touch phone and what’s been regarded as the most direct contender with the iPhone. Initial reports of stock sent to Electronista vary and show that both supply and demand vary heavily depending on the region: Sprint stores, particularly in major cities like New York, have relatively large supply of as much as 100 or more. However, third-party stores like Best Buy and Radio Shack have relatively much smaller supply and little to no queuing.

Leaks from within Best Buy ahead of the launch had suggested the retailer may not have healthy supply until July, prompting speculation either that Sprint’s stores were favored much more heavily than others or else that supply was so low that third-party stores couldn’t be guaranteed reliable stock. No slips have surfaced about Radio Shack’s availability ahead of today’s debut.

The Pre’s key selling point is webOS, which debuts on the phone. Besides offering a comparatively intuitive, finger-driven interface and full HTML web browsing, it offers a handful of key features that will be absent from its Apple rival even with iPhone OS 3.0, including true multitasking for features such as background Internet radio, universal search that includes Google, Twitter and Wikipedia, and an online sync concept known as Synergy that can merge contacts and calendars from the phone, Google and Facebook while automatically eliminating duplicates. Lighter restrictions on third-party apps allow PalmOS emulation.

Palm Pre

A 3-megapixel camera and a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard are its key advantages over the current iPhone; otherwise, it has 3G, 8GB of built-in storage, GPS and Wi-Fi much like its key challenger at the $199 price point.

Palm Pre

Both Palm and Sprint are depending heavily on a successful launch to turn around struggling businesses but have been helped by mostly positive reviews that praise the operating system while raising concerns about the keyboard and some minor but notable build quality concerns.

Incase HunterGatherer iPhone 3G S Case and Laptop Sleeve Resembles WoodThe HunterGather selection of cases may not be exactly made of wood, but it surely was inspired by it. The cases are made for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G S, and also in the form of a laptop sleeve. Each one has the details of wood bark, and they are a signature design of both St. John and collaborator Gary Benzel who created the woodgrain pattern and have applied it to these latest creations, as well as to furniture and skateboard decks.

The design of the cases may look like a piece of wood but the quality of the Incase Slider is very much intact as well as the 15″ Sleeve for the MacBook Pro. The entire HunterGather Line is available today with the iPhone 3G/3G S cases retailing for $49.95, and the HunterGatherer Sleeve is retailing for $59.95.

This little town which is located inside the mountains, not very far from Tegucigalpa, is known because it was the inspiration for a very famous Honduran painter, this artist was Jose Antonio Velasquez, who painted some of the most beautiful primitive paintings known worldwide at San Antonio Landscaping. He has been recognized to be one of the best primitive painters in the world. Velasquez lived from 1906 to 1983, he was born in this little town, San Antonio de Oriente. Michael Jackson  Rip

“Coroners have officially pronounced Michael Jackson dead. From what we can tell, he died between 18 and 20 years ago,” forensic investigator Tim Holbrooke said. “We are not certain, at this time, who—or what—has been standing trial in that Santa Maria courthouse.”

According to Holbrooke, Jackson’s corpse was buried just inches below a stretch of the miniature-train tracks that run throughout Neverland. The largely desiccated corpse wore the remains of a red, zipper-covered leather jacket and a single glove.

“We positively identified the body as Jackson by his dental records and DNA,” Holbrooke said. “But even before we conducted a single forensic test, we began to suspect that that we’d uncovered the real Michael, and that the disturbing figure claiming to be Jackson was a fake.”

Holbrooke said that, although the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, when investigators compared the body to early-career publicity photos of Jackson, they saw a striking resemblance in bone structure and facial features. But when they compared the body to photos taken after 1987, the resemblance was negligible.
